New ApeCoin DAO Proposal Seeks to Improve Token Delegation Process

The newest ApeCoin DAO Ape Improvement Proposal, AIP-89, is now up for vote on Snapshot and seeks to improve the token delegation process.

"This AIP improves the delegation experience by adding an application process and allowing users to easily delegate and re-delegate directly from the ApeCoin site," the proposal's abstract reads.

The proposal was submitted by maariab on Aug. 1 and is expected to cost up to 150,000 APE, Yuga Labs native utility token. The first 50,000 APE will be funded upon the proposal passing to kickstart the work required to fix the website's UX. The second 50,000 APE will be funded upon the launch of the first version of the new delegation UI. And the final 50,000 APE will be funded upon the launch of the second version of the new delegation UI, which will have a more streamlined UI/UX flow and other advanced features.

The full team will consist of Maaria and Brian Wagner as project managers, one to two developers, and one designer.

The project will be open-sourced and completed in four to eight weeks.

Voting ends on Sep .14 at 9 p.m. ET. Vote here.
