Aera by OneFootball Is Bringing Serie A Soccer to the Flow Blockchain

OneFootball is entering into a partnership with Lega Serie A to bring officially-licensed digital soccer collectibles to the Flow blockchain, according to a recent press release.

OneFootball is the world's largest soccer media platform, and the partnership includes Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana, an annual tournament and its Super Cup championship game.

These new digital collectibles will be available on Aera by OneFootball, which is a new marketplace built on Flow, with more than 1,300 total new and unique "Moments" (a term used by Dapper Labs to refer to video collectibles) generated during the upcoming Lega Serie A season.

"This is a significant moment for fans of [soccer]," Mik Naayem of Dapper Labs, the company that built NBA Top Shot, NFL All Day, and UFC Strike. "Through this latest partnership with OneFootball, millions more fans will be introduced to their first web3 experiences on Flow via the safe and easy-to-use wallet Dapper, where they will discover how it feels to collect actual moments - from the teams and players they love - that make each match so memorable."

Naayem is not exaggerating; OneFootball's community includes more than 100 million active users.
