Sorare Legends Releases New Mario Kempes Cards

Sorare announced today that the official Mario "El Matador" Kempes Legend cards are now on its marketplace.

The cards focus on Kempes' debut year with La Canalla in 1974. During that year, he led the Primera Division with 25 goals in his first year as a professional soccer player (footballer).

Kempes is a former Argentine soccer player. He played striker and center midfielder, who is most well-known for his time with Valencia, where he scored 116 total goals in only slightly more total league games. He was La Liga's top goalscorer twice during that stretch.

He also won the 1978 World Cup with Argentina, scoring two times in the final game, which earned him Golden Boot honors.

"El Matador" is considered one of the top 125 greatest living socer players, awarded that honor as part of FIFA's 100th anniversary celebration.

He scored 300 career goals in his two decade career.
