Azuki Hires Partnerships Lead

Wally Sajimi, who has worked with A$AP Rocky’s creative agency AWGE and is a co-founder of two social-media-based companies, has been hired by Azuki to handle creative partnerships, according to a spokesperson for the NFT company.
“Wally’s experience brings a unique creative outlook to Azuki. As a technology creative, he’s worked with some of the top streetwear and fashion brands, and we are excited to collaborate with Wally,” said Azuki founder Zagabond, in a statement provided to the spokesperson, who works for a communications company.
Sajimi was named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 for marketing and advertising for his role at Endorsify, a company he co-founded that was acquired by HerCampus in 2020. He is also the co-founder of Minti, which lets users mint social posts as NFTs. That company is in the process of being acquired by Collab Asia, according to the spokesperson.
Sajimi will help Azuki pursue partnership opportunities and hire other creatives and designers, the spokesperson said.
Azuki has already partnered with an F1 team, Red Bull Racing, and let holders download a virtual jacket for their Azuki NFTs to don.
The anime-inspired collection also collaborated with Tokyo-based luxury jewelry and apparel company AMBUSH last month to produce some custom hoodies and dragon pendants. The hoodies come with the project’s Physical Backed Token, or PBT — the token that was also included in Azuki’s golden skateboards which were auctioned off in October.
Sajimi has been working with Azuki since October, according to a tweet, which said he was joining the "creative team."
Sajimi is listed as the project manager for A$AP Rocky's Nifty Gateway collection called "Rocky Gateway."
