It's Yuga's world, and we're just living in it. The founders of BAYC launched a new trailer for The Otherside late Thursday announcing "The Otherside is Waking Up." The trailer came with a blog post with several updates and details, with a notable timeline update that the "Second Trip" will take place in March of 2023.
The market liked the news, with Yuga assets taking 4 of the top 5 spots on the volume board and each jumping about 10 percent in price. Otherdeeds jumped to 1.57 ETH, BAYC to 72 ETH, MAYC to 16 ETH, and BAKC held at 8 ETH.
Perhaps the biggest takeaway from this week for Yuga is their move to product verticals. It seems clear they are moving in parallel now with different teams/leaders driving 1) BAYC roadmap (Trial of Jimmy the Monkey), 2)The Otherside (latest trailer and updates), 3)Meebits (new album dropping), and 4) Media (the new podcast). And they are picking up speed. It's a fun and exciting time to be a Yuga NFT holder.
With Yuga stealing all the spotlight, there were not too many other big winners. Hounds were likely the most notable, up another 20 percent to 1 ETH - not surprising for a Yuga-adjacent project with ties to the Mutant Cartel. Wolf Game was a big loser on the day, with the game now live but the NFTs falling fast. Floors are down 10-35 percent across the assets. $WOOL is at $0.0284, down from $0.044 on Thursday (-35%).
Other top news from NFTs includes an update on 2023 plans for PUNKS Comic and their upcoming PFPs, the Cool Cats team will have a new focus on Blue Cat, and the Doodles team shared that Genesis Boxes will be revealed in February.
In Web3 news, Hong Kong Web3.0 Hub is looking to help 1,000 web3 startups. Dubai is looking to open the first physical NFT store in the Mall of the Emirates. And fresh off their World Cup win, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) is entering the Metaverse with startup Upland to bring a new way to engage with fans via Web3.

Upcoming NFT Mints and Reveals

There are no major mints on the docket for today. Expect market attention on the Yuga assets as more process all the recent news and other recent movers like Hounds. Yesterday's new drop Tabz is holding a 0.25 ETH floor with 6,000 minted so far, a nice win for DAP holders as DAP is back to 0.26 ETH. Tabz is likely to see more volume ahead of its reveal on the 26th, which should have a nice rare lotto.
The other major project to watch is Memes by 6529, with another major snapshot today. It will be telling if some start to sell off post snapshot, or if we see continued grind up indicating broader adoption ahead of SZN2 coming Jan 1.
