Welcome to the Sorare NBA Game Week 32 Primer!

The next round of action kicks off today, and we're here to break down all the relevant information for the upcoming slate. Lineups lock at 6:50 p.m. EST — with the upcoming contests running Monday-Thursday.

Before getting into the Primer, I have to call out this record-breaking sale this weekend — with the 1/1 Giannis Antetokounmpo Unique auction finishing at a whopping 113.888 ETH, by far the highest sale on the NBA side of the platform:

Let's get into all the action for this week of hoops:

Game Week Rewind ⏮

Speaking of Giannis…

The Greek Freak led the way on the weekend Game Week, with a slate-topping 72 Sorare Points. Budding superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was also no slouch, narrowly trailing Giannis for the top spot with 71.

The Brooklyn Nets were the talk of the weekend, with news breaking yesterday that the team was shipping polarizing star Kyrie Irving (and Markieff Morris) to the Dallas Mavericks for Spencer DinwiddieDorian Finney-Smith, and several picks.

With Irving out on Saturday prior to the trade, several role players on the Nets stepped up to provide the highest value on the slate:

  • Cam Thomas (54 Sorare Points, +46) — his 46 points above the L10 cap is one of the top overachieving performances of the season

  • Edmond Sumner (40 Sorare Points, +31)

  • Anfernee Simons (58 Sorare Points, +30)

  • Trendon Watford (33 Sorare Points, +28)

  • Keon Ellis (29 Sorare Points, +27)

 Multi-Game Monitor 🗓

In Sorare NBA, having a player with several games during a competition can be a big advantage — with an extra chance at a ceiling performance.

Since listing which teams have two games isn’t very helpful (spoiler: most teams in the league) — I'll start showing the outliers of three and one game that provides a bit more actionable info on who to prioritize/fade:

3 Games: Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls

1 Game: Charlotte Hornets, Indiana Pacers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, New Orleans Pelicans, Philadelphia 76ers, Toronto Raptors

Injury & Roster Info 🏥

Here are some notable (not all-inclusive) injury/lineup situations to monitor and plan for ahead of this week's games:

  • Stephen Curry left Saturday’s game with a knee injury, and the team announced that he will miss at least four weeks with “partial tears to his superior tibiofibular ligaments and interosseous membrane.”

The info below is for Monday, Feb. 6 — but also gives insight into future availability for the rest of the Game Week:

Ruled Out  ❌

  • Ricky Rubio, CLE (injury management), Seth Curry, BKN (adductor), Romeo Langford, SAS (adductor), Jeremy Sochan, SAS (back), Chris Duarte, IND (ankle), Anthony Gill, WAS (health protocol), Kyle Kuzma, WAS (ankle), Tre Jones, SAS (foot), Luke Kornet, BOS (ankle)

Questionable ❓

  • Caris LeVert, CLE (hamstring), Frank Ntilikina, DAL (illness), Jared Vanderbilt, MIN (back), Isaiah Stewart, DET (hip), Ben Simmons, BKN (knee), Keldon Johnson, SAS (ankle), Luke Kornet, BOS (ankle), Bradley Beal, WAS (foot), Jaylen Brown, BOS (illness)

Value Plays 🤑

Last Game Week's Value Pick Performances:

Player | L10 | GW 30 Performance

  • Malaki Branham, 13 L10, 34 Sorare Points (+21) 🔥🔥

  • Keita Bates-Diop, 23 L10, 28 Sorare Points (+5) 🆗

  • Daishen Nix, 4 L10, 20 Sorare Points (+16) 🔥

  • Tari Eason, 23 L10, 30 Sorare Points (+7) 🆗

  • Davion Mitchell, 12 L10, 17 Sorare Points (+5) 🆗

  • Drew Eubanks, 20 L10, 19 Sorare Points (-1) ❌

Very mixed bag on picks this weekend. This upcoming Game Week could be particularly interesting, with the NBA trade deadline coming Thursday at 3:00 p.m. EST — which could cause some chaos as players get moved.

Game Week 32 Value Picks:

*Note — these selections are based purely on L10 value in lineups — and do not consider the auction or market prices of the players listed.

Cam Thomas | 12 L10
Patty Mills | 12 L10
Edmond Sumner | 9 L10

Our first trio of value plays from the same team! Did the Cam Thomas 44-point outburst this weekend make the Nets’ decision to ship out Kyrie Irving that much easier? The second-year guard has shown the ability to score in bunches when given the opportunity — and has seen his minutes of late.

With 25, 28, and 54 Sorare Points in his past three games, Thomas has a chance to continue his surge — with Brooklyn’s lineup looking super thin due to the trade and injuries. The team is also one of just two teams that have three games in this Game Week, adding another plus to the equation. At just a cap of 12, Thomas should remain a smash play this week.

With Seth Curry already ruled out for Monday, the lack of guard depth also opens things up for veteran Patty Mills, who we’ve seen go off for 35 and 45-point Sorare performances when given minutes earlier this season. Like Thomas, his 12 L10 makes him an attractive piece to get exposure to in lineups.

Finally, Edmond Sumner was balling this weekend, finishing with 40 Sorare Points in 39 minutes of action. While TJ Warren is expected to return on Monday, there still should be plenty of minutes to go around for Sumner to surpass his tiny 9 L10.

Also Consider: Royce O’Neale (23 L10)

Jaden Hardy | 7 L10
Josh Green | 16 L10

On the flip side of the Irving trade, we have some value opened up for the Mavericks side — with a bare-bones lineup expected for at least the team’s first game on the slate.

This is good news for both Jaden Hardy and Josh Green, who could find themselves thrust into a bigger role to fill the vacated minutes of Dinwiddie and Finney-Smith. Hardy can provide a spark of offense for a team lacking options outside of the returning Christian Wood, while Green’s role had already been increasing prior to the trade. At low caps, both should have plenty of opportunity to outperform with increased usage this week.

Also Consider: Christian Wood (44 L10, ceiling performance potential with Doncic out), Frank Ntilikina* (6 L10, currently questionable with an illness — monitor status)

Bonus Pick:

  • Trendon Watford | 6 L10 — Two straight 20+ Sorare Point performances, continue rolling out while Jusuf Nurkic (out until at least the All-Star Break) remains on the shelf.
