A Royal Metaverse? Harry and Meghan Preparing Web3 Entrance

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are in talks with pax.world to create their own metaverse experience, according to an exclusive report from The Mirror.

"Both Meghan and Harry believe they will an even greater ability to spread their message if they have a presence in the virtual world as well as the physical world," a source close to the couple told The Mirror.

Pax.world is a new metaverse project which claims to offer landholders the benefit of exclusive access to NFT airdrops, the ability to rent their metaverse land, and an opportunity to create and monetize their own content. The project launched in Jan. 2022 with the initial sale of its native governance token, PAXW and has since completed its first public land sale and hosted its first in-world event (with only 2,000 attendees).

It's not immediately clear how the couple was connected to pax.world, a relatively unknown metaverse player, but a "prime" offer was made by the project founder.

"We’re offering Harry and Meghan a plot of prime pax.world land and the chance to collaborate with the world’s leading architects, build on it, and connect with new audiences," pax.world founder Frank Fitzgerald told The Mirror.

The public launch of the pax.world platform is not expected until 2023.

Despite the initial report coming on Nov. 15, only one land plot has traded on the secondary market in the last month. The PAXW token is also down 1.5 percent in the last seven days, and 15 percent in the last month.
