Doodles Opens Doodle Watch Applications
Doodle Watch is now accepting applications for two community oversight positions until May 5 at 11:59 pm ET.
The Deets:
- Establish community oversight of the community council
- Develop a feeder program for future community council positions
- Ensure the community's voice is heard in council meetings
- 2 positions available, with a 3-month term and $6,000 pay per term
- Election process: Snapshot voting from May 8th to May 20th
The Details
The Doodle Watch aims to establish community oversight over the community council, develop a feeder program for future community council positions, and ensure the community's voice is heard during council meetings. Two positions are currently available, with the possibility of adding more in the future. Members will be elected for a 3-month term and receive a pay of $6,000 per term.
To apply, candidates should create a "new topic" under the corresponding Doodle Watch category, summarizing their qualifications, experience, and reasons for wanting to serve on the Doodle Watch. They should also include their Doodle ID(s) and contact information (Twitter and Discord are preferred).
Only Doodle holders may apply to the Doodle Watch. Candidates will be elected by Snapshot voting, which will take place from May 8th to May 20th, with one Doodle equating to one vote.
❗️Why It Matters
Doodles has been criticized for downplaying the importance of its community's feedback and communications, but Doodle Watch positions join the recently announced Community Council as formal positions designed to engage the project's holders. The project just released the beta of its Doodles' Stoodio, but is in need of more small victories to continue earning back its once held stellar reputation in web3.
