Gala Games Temporarily Pausing $TOWN Distributions
Gala Games is temporarily pausing the distribution of $TOWN, its Town Star game token, according to a Discord announcement shared late on Saturday night.
The pause, which will affect both players and node distributors, is expected to go into place on July 19 to allow Gala Games to work on adding additional features to the Town Star game and improving the in-game economy.
According to the announcement, the enhancements and changes will require a significant amount of work and as a result, no official timeline has been shared. Frequent updates are expected to be shared via formal announcements and monthly AMAs held by the Gala Games team. Users who wish to submit questions for July's AMA can do so via Google Forms.
The game will continue to hold daily and weekly challenges, but users should expect changes.
All Town Points earned each day will be erased at the end of the day, and will not result in the distribution of the $TOWN token.
The $TOWN token is down 14 percent over the last 24 hours and has declined more than 30 percent in the last thirty days. The current price of $0.01 is a near 100 percent decline from its all-time high of $2.32 in late November.
