'God of Cricket' NFTs Coming to Animoca-Backed Rario

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is joining NFT platform Rario as an investor, brand ambassador, and lending his likeness to a new set of digital collectibles, according to a Medium article from the platform.

Tendulkar, known as the "God of Cricket" and "Master Blaster," joins Animoca Brands, fantasy sports company Dream Sports, and Polygon Studios as investors. In April, the cricket NFT company announced a $120 million Series A round of funding, led by Dream Sports.

Rario isn't the only NFT platform dedicated to the sport — Dapper-backed FanCraze has been offering video NFTs of the top cricketers since launching in January. FanCraze announced a $100 million funding round back in March.
