The Deets
- Google Cloud becomes the default oracle for LayerZero
- The collaboration aims to accelerate Web3 interoperability and enterprise adoption
- LayerZero's network supports 15 different chains including Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Polygon
- The protocol processes around 10 million messages per month
The Bulk
LayerZero Labs, the creative force behind the LayerZero cross-chain messaging protocol, has entered into a collaboration with Google Cloud. With this partnership, Google Cloud will function as LayerZero's default oracle, validating and securing messages traversing the LayerZero network.
Developers who are building decentralized applications (dApps) on LayerZero can now benefit from the Google Cloud oracle’s verification services for transactions. LayerZero offers a robust platform that provides seamless communication of data, assets, and information between various blockchains, without compromising on security elements.
The LayerZero network is designed to support 15 different blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, BNB, and Avalanche. The collaboration with Google Cloud is seen as a significant stride in LayerZero's mission to create a secure cross-chain environment and push the enterprise adoption of Web3 technologies.
📊 By the Numbers
LayerZero handles approximately 10 million messages each month and supports over 24,000 different contracts. More than $20 billion has been bridged across its platform.
