Ledger Expands Support for Solana Mobile Through Partnership

Web3 security and hardware wallet company Ledger announced a partnership Monday with Solana Labs to expand support to the Saga Solana Mobile phone.

Ledger said the partnership will "allow easy transfers of coins between a Solana Mobile Phone such as Saga and a Ledger device."

“We’re proud to partner with the Solana Labs and Solana Mobile teams to bring security to the Solana ecosystem,” says Ian Rogers, Chief Experience Officer at Ledger in the blog post. “...Your Solana is valuable, protecting your value by pairing your Saga Solana Mobile phone and your Ledger is a must.”

Earlier in June, Solana announced Saga, an Android mobile phone tied to the Solana blockchain. The phone is still in the pre-order phase and it is set to ship early 2023.

Besides mobile integration, The Solana app is available in Ledger Live for the Ledger Nano X and Nano S Plus, according to a blog post on the Ledger website, where users can buy, send, and stake SOL. Ledger's browser extension, Ledger Connect, will support Solana in "early 2023."
