The Neopets Team (TNT) welcomed new leadership and introduced a new mobile app called "World of Neopets," straying from previous plans of its Neopets Metaverse.

The Bulk
Neopets, the much-loved virtual pet site from the early 2000s, is undergoing a significant transformation. After years of struggling under JumpStart Games, the new leadership team headed by Dominic Law, a long-time fan, aims to revitalize the platform.
A management buyout deal facilitated a merger of two Neopets teams into an independent entity free from corporate constraints. This newly formed entity can now exclusively focus on decision-making and the overall brand strategy of Neopets, ensuring continuous improvement and enhancement of the Neopets game and community.
The new team has prioritized pressing community requests, like addressing Flash issues, tackling mobile browser compatibility problems, page conversions, and improving customer support protocols, and does not see a path forward with its previously planned Neopets Metaverse.
Furthermore, the project made it abundantly clear that its new game, World of Neopets, is not merely a rebrand of the metaverse and will not contain any NFTs or crypto-related models.
