Tyler Warner's NFT Market Summary
In a typical slow bear market weekend, two major storylines stood out - the budding new friendship between Pudgy Penguins owner Luca Netz and y00ts founder Frank DeGods, and the recent surge in Friendship Bracelets led by Seedphrase building a full set.
Luca and Frank apparently spent a good amount of time together at Art Basel and capped the weekend with a meeting at Luca's office yesterday. Could a cross-chain partnership of some kind be in the works? Time will tell, but the market liked the news as Penguins jumped 24 percent on the week to 3.8 ETH floor, and y00ts are holding a 155 SOL floor, with DeGods at a new ATH at 385 SOL and t00bs at ATH of 257 SOL.
Friendship Bracelets, the free mint gift from the Art Blocks team, saw a major spike in interest Saturday. A full set of all 39 palettes jumped over 40 percent to 47.2 ETH at peak before retracing a bit, while the floor rallied 20 percent to 0.3 ETH for the set of 25,628 NFTs. The set also saw a new ATH sale of 6.66 ETH for the most coveted palette "It's Another Time for Blood," which now holds a whopping 7.8 ETH floor on OpenSea.
The Yuga projects led volume over the weekend, topped by Otherdeeds which led both days in trading (seemingly by Blur farmers getting in a last few days of sweeps before today's airdrop). BAYC is holding at 67 ETH floor, slightly ahead of Punks stable at 65.3 ETH. Azuki had a solid weekend, running to 11.2 ETH floor, now clearly in the lead for the mid-range PFPs.
Other major winners from the weekend were mostly concentrated in generative art. Fontana surged over 30 percent to a 12.95 ETH floor, Screens rallied 20 percent to a 4 ETH floor, and the new project Abstraction by anon jumped well over 100 percent to a 3 ETH floor at peak.
It was a slower weekend of news as several traveled back from Art Basel. RTFKT made the biggest headlines, launching and completing the MNLTH 2 quest with a snapshot for MNLTH 3 taking place this morning at 9:00 a.m. ET. Tim Ferriss's COCKPUNCH finalized its allowlist ahead of this week's mint, and Castaways teased an airdrop for its most active players. And Bankless acquired Earnifi, marking another move into DeFi and NFTs for that crypto-native team.

Today will be interesting, as once Blur completes its airdrop, there will be less incentive to trade on their marketplace. It will be interesting to watch how that impacts volume (and floor price), for heavily farmed sets like Otherdeeds and Friendship Bracelets.
Today's Art Blocks drop is interesting at 102 supply size and a 0.1 ETH resting price. If it gets down near min price, it will likely be a profitable mint. There should also be some volume on today's Memes by 6529 airdrop, as there is no public mint and any buyers will be required to go to secondary.
