Oncyber Launches 'Space' Minting In Latest Metaverse Contribution

Oncyber has launched permissionless "space" minting in its latest contribution to the metaverse and virtual gallery sector, as announced yesterday.

Anyone is able to participate by uploading their own 3d virtual world creations (custom spaces) as .GLB files. Once the space is approved, creators will be able to:

  • Claim the virtual space as tokens to their own wallets
  • Set up a free claim page
  • Mint the token on ETH or Polygon

The underlying Oncyber technology allows the spaces to be interoperable, leverages the GLTF standard (the format of the open web) and IPFS for decentralized storage, and will exist on-chain.

Interested creators are encouraged to get started by visiting this link and uploading a file. The site also has tutorials on how to build a space.
