BAYC, GCG to Get VIP Lounge Access at 28 Airports
In this post

Attention Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and Gutter Cat Gang (GCG) community members, this is your capitan speaking. Enjoy complimentary VIP lounge access until your flight is ready for departure.

MouseBelt is strategically partnering with BoredJobs and Global Lounge Network to offer an initial pilot run (pun intended) of VIP airport lounge access passes for Bored Apes, Mutant Apes (MAYC), and Gutter Cats, according to a recent press release. This will be available to 200 holders during the trial period.

MouseBelt, a web3 and blockchain ecosystem, will provide the technology necessary to connect BoredJobs and Global Lounge Network IRL (in-real-life). Through BoredJobs' Web3ID technology, NFT owners can authenticate their digital asset ownership without connecting a crypto wallet at the airport. The staff process and passenger admission flow should be seamless.

“NFT owners consider the collections they own as private access to certain communities," said co-founder of MouseBelt Patrick McLain. "In some cases, they enter a special Discord channel. In other cases, they attend large events such as ApeFest. We believe this airport lounge pilot will add another dimension to the utility of the NFTs these communities own."

Global Lounge Network is currently available in 11 countries and major North American cities like Vancouver, Miami, and Mexico City. The company has more than 100,000 monthly passengers and 500 staff members.

“Since the network of airport lounges is already existing, we are looking forward to providing utility and access to our Global Lounge Network NFT holders and to other strategic partners in the web3 space,” said Chief Visionary Officer at Global Lounge Network NFT Ian Stern.

BoredJobs hinted at this partnership back in September 2022, tweeting "we are working on a deal that puts every BAYC in airport lounges for free, globally."

"The BoredJobs team had seen significant positive interest from the NFT community weeks ago when it hinted it was working on an airport lounge deal," the press release reads. "As web2 seeks to bridge their to web3, airports represent high-traffic global hubs that represent an opportunity to expose new audiences to web3, crypto, and NFTs through new physical experiences."

More information for NFT holders is expected within the next 60 days.
