Snoop, Eminem Perform Song From Otherside Metaverse
Snoop Dogg and Eminem took the virtual stage after musical artists Jack Harlow, Fergie, Lizzo, and Nicki Minaj at the VMAs on Sunday night. The pair were represented by their respective Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs for the majority of the performance, producing the single from the Otherside Metaverse.
However, near the end of the song, the pair graced the actual stage at the VMAs to finish off the final verses of their single "From The D 2 The LBC."
"From The D 2 The LBC," a song that is Bored Ape-inspired, was officially debuted earlier this year at the inaugural ApeFest celebration at NFT NYC. Since that time, the official music video has garnered more than 47 million views on Eminem's official YouTube channel.
Before the performance, Eminem teased an "Ape Editions" print drop slated for Monday at 1:00 p.m. ET.
The musician provided a link to ApeEditions.com, which features a password-locked store and an email collection form for users looking to stay updated on the Ape Editions happenings.
According to the site, the Ape Editions drop is slated to commemorate the live performance at the VMA's and the nomination for Best Hip Hop Video for the duo's Bored Ape-inspired single, "From The D 2 The LBC."
No price or any other specific details have been shared at this time.
The pair aren't the only Bored Ape owners in attendance, as late-night host and comedian Jimmy Fallon was spotted in the crowd during the show's opening. Fallon famously sported a BAYC PFP on Twitter and helped spearhead a strong run-up of Bored Ape prices during the fall of 2021.
That run then led to Apes flipping CryptoPunks in late December, until last week when Punks briefly flipped Apes once again. It was a brief moment though, and Apes have regained a sturdy hold on the top slot amongst PFP projects. The collection boasted a 10 percent increase in floor price this week while leading all projects in volume traded according to the Lucky Trader project rankings page.
