Gold Bored Ape Sells for Just Shy of $1 Million

Deepaketh sold their Solid Gold Bored Ape (#232) for 800 ETH via OpenSea to Keungz. At the time of sale, the purchase price was just shy of $1 million ($926,184).

This is the third-highest Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) sale on OpenSea in the project's history.

The Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT features an Army Green background, Smoking Jacket clothes, Sleepy eyes, Solid Gold fur, a Seaman's Hat, and Bored mouth. The rarest trait is Solid Gold fur at 0.46 percent, followed by Smoking Jacket clothes at 2 percent.

The Bored Ape has been transfered nine times but never officially sold on an official secondary marketplace.

The seller, Deepaketh, still owns one Bored Ape (#9452), which last sold for 347 WETH, and two Mutant Apes (#28904 and #28905), which last sold for a combined 225 WETH.

The buyer, Keungz, has one additional Bored Ape (#5040), which last sold for 99 ETH, two Bored Ape Kennel Club dogs (#7576 and #8354), which last sold for a combined 14 ETH, and four Mutant Apes (#27189, #3067, #1797, and #16690), which last sold for a combined 65.3 ETH.
