Solid Gold Fur Bored Ape Sells for More Than $800,000

Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) #2089, a solid gold fur ape, recently sold for 670 ETH, or more than $800,000.

The associated parties avoided OpenSea and used NFT Trader instead.

The buyer, lior.eth, tweeted about their purchase.

"Alright, this is a special moment for me," the tweet reads. "Every single investment that I make in Yuga or BAYC reinforces that borderline-absurd conviction in what we're all building here. Golden Ape acquired."

If sold via OpenSea, this sale would mark the fourth largest BAYC sale in the project's history. Only one solid gold fur ape (#3749) has been sold for more in ETH (740). And that ape had the laser eyes trait.

The BAYC NFT that lior.eth purchased includes a purple background, puffy vest, hypnotized eyes, halo, and bored mouth.

The wallet that contained the BAYC NFT six hours ago transferred to another wallet and then to "blaksoot," lior.eth's wallet. The original wallet contains other BAYC NFTs, Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFTs, FEWOCiOUS NFTs, and more.
