Major League Soccer Hints at Collaboration With BAYC #6045

Major League Soccer (MLS) hinted at a collaboration with Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT #6045 in a tweet earlier this afternoon.

The hint came in the form of a quote-tweet on an original tweet from Twitter user @Striker6045 which read "I just signed with the MLS!."

The official MLS Twitter account suggested that more information and details will come during the MLS All-Star week, which will take place next week highlighted by the All-Star Game on Wednesday, August 10.

Bored Ape Yacht Club #6045 was last purchased five months ago for 100 ETH by an OpenSea account labeled "MoonPayHQ," presumably that of the crypto payments company MoonPay. MoonPay has a history of purchasing or helping purchase notable NFTs for celebrities and others looking to get into the NFT space. For example, recently the company helped actor Jim Carrey purchase his first NFT.

Since that time, the asset was then transferred to an OpenSea account named get3ngaged, where it still resides.
