WARNING: BAYC 3D Avatar Email Scam
In this post

A new Bored Ape Yacht Club scam is hitting email inboxes today. Do not click on unverified links.

The email is sent from noreply@boredapeyachtclub.com, which has confused some holders. It reads: Bored Ape Yacht Club 3D is now live!

The "new project" is a "limited edition NFT collection of 3D apes." The email refers to the sender as "Yuga Labs LLC," but Yuga Labs has not announced this new project via Twitter or Discord. Those are the team's official communication channels.

"I woke up to this in my email," one Twitter user, Crypt0nomics.eth, tweeted. "I'm always weary about scams so is this real BAYC? I'm excited and scared at the same time."

Bored Ape Yacht Club and Yuga Labs have not yet responded to the scam.

The best way to handle a situation like this is to delete the email, check the official Yuga Labs Discord and Twitter for information regarding the "upcoming project," and move on if the team did not make an official announcement.

Stay safe.
