NBA Top Shot Adds New 'Accuracy Contest' to Its Discord

NBA Top Shot is bringing back its Accuracy Contest for the 2022-23 NBA season. The first game starts this Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m. ET.

Accuracy Contests are completed in the NBA Top Shot Discord server and challenge fans and collectors to accurately predict a handful of in-game scenarios. For example, this week, collectors must decide (among others): Will the Washington Wizards beat the Detroit Pistons by 5+ points? Will Luka Doncic finish with 10+ points more than CJ McCollum? And, Will Jonas Valanciunas finish with 3+ rebounds more than Christian Wood?

The rewards for finishing in the top 10 are as follows:

  • First Place: $100 Dapper credit
  • 2-5 Place: $50 Dapper credit
  • 6-10 Place: $25 Dapper credit

Collectors must be verified (own at least one NBA Top Shot Moment and connect their Dapper account to the NBA Top Shot Discord) to play the game. There is also a form that must be completed prior to the completion of the game for participants to receive their Dapper credits.

More about NBA Top Shot

NBA Top Shot is the first officially-licensed sports collectible NFT project. Launched on Dapper Labs’ Flow blockchain, Top Shot allows for the collecting and trading of NBA highlights, packaged as “moments.” Similar to physical trading cards, these moments can be bought in packs and come in different sets with different rarity tiers. By collecting moments and completing sets, users help build their “collector score.” Achieving a certain collector score may make you eligible for special access pack drops and other utility not yet explored.
