Sorare NBA Marketplace Is Live
In this post

Sorare, a leading NFT-based fantasy sports platform, released its NBA marketplace and player card NFTs on Tuesday morning

Users can now begin collecting cards and building lineups for contests ahead of the NBA season tipoff, which will take place tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET.

To get started, users will need to create a Sorare account, but after doing so they will be able to claim a set of NBA player card NFTs for free to help kickstart their portfolio.

From there, users can then use the NBA marketplace to identify player NFTs they'd like to add to their portfolio. At present time NFTs are available via auction and to buy directly from competing managers. Users can purchase card NFTs with Euros or ETH at present time.

It is important to note, each player card NFT comes in a different rarity tier which is limited in supply. The rarity of the card will affect which contests it is eligible for competing in and thusly helps contribute to a price discrepancy in the marketplace.

Two common tournaments are open and available to the public to play for free. These tournaments can be registered with the free pack claimed upon signup.
