Zed Run Announces Budweiser Holiday Challenge & Tournament
Zed Run recently announced an upcoming Budweiser-sponsored racing event with $140,000 in prizes, class-specific challenges, and 1v1 racing.
This challenge and tournament will be the last Budweiser Pass exclusive event.
The Budweiser Holiday Qualifying Challenge snapshot will occur on Dec. 11 at 7:01 p.m. ET and officially starts on Dec. 14 at 7:01 p.m. ET. It ends on Dec. 16 at 6:59 p.m. ET.
"The top 36 racehorses that record the most wins in their Distance Funnel and Class will win prize money during qualifying, as well as, gaining entry to the Budweiser Holiday Finals tournament," the team explained in its announcement. "During qualifying, there is also a year's supply of beer on the line! Of all stable owners that participate in the Qualifying stages, one will be selected to win a year's supply of Budweiser beer."
The prize pool payouts are as follows:
- 1st-6th: $150
- 7th-12th: $100
- 13th-18th: $50
- 19th-36th: $30
The Budweiser Holiday Finals Tournament starts on Dec. 19 at 7:01 p.m. ET. The races will automatically run at pre-determined distances. In Round 1, 36 racehorses run in 6-horse races with the top three from each race advancing. In Round 2, the remaining 18 racehorses run in 6-horse races with the top two from each race advancing. In Round 3, the remaining six racehorses run in a 6-horse race with the top two advancing to the final race. In the last round, the two remaining racehorses race it out for the Budweiser Holiday Tournament crown.
The prize pool payouts are as follows:
- 1st: $1,000
- 2nd: $600
- 3rd-6th: $250
- 7th-12th: $200
- 13th-18th: $100
- 19th-30th: $50
- 31st-36th: $25
