ZED RUN Announces New Racing Formats
In this post

ZED RUN has announced several changes to its paid racing experience, according to an overnight announcement posted in the project's Discord server. As noted in the announcement, the team's goal in introducing these changes is to "create a more engaging and rewarding paid racing experience."  Specifically, four new paid racing formats have been introduced in Classes 1-3:

  • 12-horse double ups (even prize splits for the top six finishers)
  • 12-horse quadruple ups (even prize splits for podium finishers)
  • 6-horse winner take all
  • 6-horse top-2 payout (awards 70 percent of the prize pool to first place and 30 percent to second place)

Classes 4-6 will have access to the following formats:

  • 12-horse double ups
  • 6-horse top-2 payout

These new contest formats are currently live in the ZED RUN Racing Lobby

Additionally, the team is working on a "scheduling rework for free race availability." Once that work has been completed, the scheduler logic will be updated so that there is one race per length available at all times in all classes.
