Reignmakers Market Report: Players to Watch and Strategic Insights for Week 6

Reignmakers Market Report: Players to Watch and Strategic Insights for Week 6
In this post

Welcome to Week 6 of the NFL season! DraftKings Reignmakers NFL card floor prices seem to be stabilizing. However, there's still ample opportunity to invest in players with potential upside, particularly when capitalizing on market overreactions to a single week's underperformance.

This piece continues to center on leveraging market overreactions, a strategy that can provide returns regardless of actual game outcomes. While on-field performance is crucial, the rising supply of cards, especially in the ELITE tier and above, is driving prices down.

We expect to see established price floors for these cards soon. If you're new here, we aim to spotlight the most significant weekly percentage shifts in value for the top three skill positions. The objective? Pinpoint potential investment opportunities to buy low or sell high.

Quarterbacks

Find the good and the bad for quarterbacks in Week 6 below.

The Good

Desmond Ridder prices continued with volatile movement for the third consecutive week. This week, his cards saw an increase of about 70%, returning to approximately $150 at the ELITE tier. This surge in price followed a very solid fantasy performance last week against Houston.

Tua Tagovailoa's cards also experienced a significant increase in value. With several star QBs not on the main slate this week, Tua is one of, if not the highest, projected QB for this slate and by far the best non-SuperStar at the QB position.

Justin Fields is also on the rise over the last seven days, as he seems to be returning to his previous form, scoring numerous fantasy points for his owners.

Other quarterbacks, including C.J. Stroud, Matthew Stafford, and Joe Burrow, have also seen increases in their card values.

Overall, quarterback prices continue to be influenced by player performance and game availability, making it crucial for cardholders to stay informed about the schedule and player updates to make informed decisions in the Reignmakers game.

The Bad

Several starting QBs faced injuries last week, leading to significant price drops. Anthony Richardson, Daniel Jones, and Deshaun Watson all experienced substantial declines, with their prices hitting new lows, averaging around $100.

Russell Wilson's value has also seen a considerable decrease this week, down approximately 50% from last week. He continues to struggle in the Denver offense, and you can find his ELITE editions for about $150.00.

Other quarterbacks, including Kirk Cousins, Josh Allen, Jared Goff, and Geno Smith, have seen their card prices decrease by roughly 30%. For Josh Allen, his omission from this week's primary slate, where most of the value lies, has led to all-time low prices. His Rush set ELITE tier cards are now selling for under $500.

Running Backs

Find the good and bad about this week's running backs below.

The Good

Jeff Wilson's comeback to the Dolphins' backfield has excited investors, with his card values surging about 100% week over week. Injuries to starters have benefited other players like D'Onta Foreman, Keaontay Ingram, and Chuba Hubbard.

While most haven't seen substantial price boosts based on performance alone, Tyjae Spears is an exception. His card prices have climbed around 50% in the past week, starting at a base value of $130.

There's more potential for his value to increase as his offensive role grows. Other players seeing a rise in card values are Josh Jacobs, Jaylen Warren, and Zack Moss. Despite a significant dip in Moss's card prices last week due to Jonathan Taylor's return, Moss emerged as one of the top scorers on the primary slate, resulting in increased interest this week.

The Bad

De'Von Achane, who had recently become one of the highest-priced running backs, saw his card prices plummet by almost 60% after suffering an injury that will keep him out of play for at least the next four weeks.

Jonathan Taylor, as mentioned earlier, also experienced a significant drop in card prices after being gradually reintroduced to the backfield, down approximately 50% from last week's highs. This might be an opportune time to consider adding him to your portfolio, especially if he loses the SuperStar tag in the coming weeks.

Kyren Williams, whose editions saw substantial price increases due to low supply and high demand, with prices reaching close to $800 at some points last week, can now be purchased for around $585. Other players who saw their card prices decrease by 20% or more last week include James Cook, Jahmyr Gibbs, Derrick Henry, Dameon Pierce, Kenneth Walker, Jerome Ford, and Najee Harris.

Wide Receivers

Now onto the wideouts...

The Good

The shakeup in the Minnesota offense due to injuries has brought K.J. Osborn into the spotlight, with his card prices doubling from their previous floor price of around $60.

Adam Thielen continues his impressive performances, putting together three ceiling games and offering a healthy return on investment. His cards have risen by almost 100% over the last seven days, with their floor price now around $340.

Ja'Marr Chase has made a quick return to prominence, along with his cards, which have seen a 60% increase over the last week. This is a significant move for such a high-profile player.

Other players experiencing price increases of at least 15% include DJ Moore, Jordan Addison, Joshua Palmer, Jakobi Meyers, Drake London, Cooper Kupp, and Davante Adams.

The Bad

While some lesser-known players continue to see their card prices drop by over 40% each week, the bigger names are experiencing a stabilization in price unless there's an injury involved.

Unfortunately, the injury bug struck Justin Jefferson last week, and he's expected to be out for at least four games, if not more. Consequently, his cards saw a significant 60% decrease in value. Other prominent names that also experienced substantial declines include Terry McLaurin, DeVonta Smith, Chris Olave, and DK Metcalf.

Plenty of good opportunities out there this week, given some of the names listed above whose prices have gone down over the last week.
