DraftKings Reignmakers NFL Week 2 Diary: NFT Portfolio Insights, Game Stacks & Top Selections
Week 1 of the NFL season was thrilling, and Week 2 kicked off with an electric Thursday night clash between Philadelphia and Minnesota. As we head into the bulk of Week 2, we've got 12 exciting games scheduled for the 1pm and 4pm slots.
With the release of new crafting recipes and additional pack drops this week, many of us, myself included, have expanded our portfolios.
If you've added new cards, it's time to reconsider your lineup strategies, which we'll delve into in this article.
Portfolio Recap & Strategy for Week 2
After DraftKings revealed the future utility of cards, I chose to retain most of my portfolio, emphasizing building my 2023 collection via my extensive 2022 collection, which boasts over 1,500 NFT cards with top-tier players.
Thanks to Lucky Trader's lineup optimizer, we can now seamlessly create our 2022 lineups.
I was able to take advantage of that vast 2022 portfolio this week as new additional crafting recipes opened up.
I exchanged retired players, like Tom Brady, and secured a Justin Fields ELITE card. This move redefined my lineup for this week, allowing me to elevate a star wide receiver from the RARE tier.
I also added a couple of other non-star ELITE tier cards, so this week I've decided to enter into a deep roster format contest as well.
A note on that and a broader theme for Week 2: the prize pack contests still provide some of the best equity. These packs are stuffed with around 40% skill players or quarterbacks, providing a great way to build a strong portfolio.
Many of my lineups this week will be entered into those contests as we shift towards a more yield-focused return in Week four and beyond.

I've also strengthened my 2023 collection with CORE and RARE-level tier cards. Although this might seem overwhelming in terms of lineup creation, the optimizer simplifies this task, enabling easy creation of multiple lineups across these tiers.
My primary lineup for Week 2 features stars like Christian McCaffrey, Josh Jacobs, Calvin Ridley, and the recently acquired Justin Fields.
All of these cards are at the ELITE tier, which means I can add any non-superstar player to the lineup.
I'm faced with a tough decision between Stefon Diggs and Amon-Ra St. Brown. However, considering Jacobs' matchup against Buffalo, Diggs seems more appealing.
It's worth noting that Fields stands out among quarterbacks, not necessarily needing peak performances from his wide receivers to shine. This strategic angle is one I'll be employing this week.
Considering the recent card additions, I'm nearing a robust secondary lineup in the Main ELITE tier. Thus, players like Jahan Dotson and Josh Kelley will join a Deep-Roster contest, aiming to maximize portfolio returns.
Additionally, players in the 4pm window, such as Kelley, should be strategically positioned to optimize potential points.
