Foundation Joins Editions Meta

Foundation Joins Editions Meta

NFT marketplace and drops platform, Foundation, joined the open edition meta with the release of its edition tools on Wednesday.

The Deets

Foundations Editions feature can be used solo or for curation via "Worlds." More details below:

  • Editions currently features 24 hour open editions.
  • Artists can own the smart contract, and utilize as they please beyond Foundation.
  • As part of the launch, Foundation launched its own World, "Replica" a curation of 35 open editions from artists like Horvath and McBess.

❗Why It Matters

Editions is a significant development for Foundation, which will allow it to potentially steal marketshare away from Manifold or others that have made it easier on creators to launch and promote NFT collections. While editions have seemingly been undersupported for a long time, this news combines nicely with the rise of Escher - an upcoming editions marketplace from the team at Tessera. The biggest winners? Creators.

🎬 Take Action

Users interested in the first editions on Foundation can explore or purchase NFTs from "Replica," the first major curation from the platform.
