Kevin Rose, founder of PROOF Collective, was the victim of a wallet was hack this afternoon, first brought to light by Cirrus, then later confirmed by Rose

What It Means

The hack resurfaces important conversations about the storage and transaction of valuable digital assets, particularly if someone of Rose's technical acumen and experience is vulnerable to an attack.

What's Next 

Rose has indicated that a detailed account is still to come and he is in the process of flagging as many of the assets as he possible can. During the heist, Rose was able to save a handful of notable assets including a pair of CryptoPunks, an XCOPY, Ringer and more. 

At least 25 Squiggles were taken in the theft. 

Update: PROOF team members indicated that Rose was phished from a fake 6529 Memes site. Please proceed with extreme caution when engaging with links.
