From Easel to Ethereum: The Digital Frontier of Western Art
In this post
Jeremy Booth shared details on his plans to bring traditional and digital Western art together with Western Art Dept (@westernartdept) in a Twitter thread ๐งต today.
โ Why It Matters
Western Art Dept will help onboard traditional Western artists while also highlighting and supporting existing artists in the space. Boots holders will also have a chance to participate in an upcoming burn and redeem art from other artists as part of the broader "Western Art Dept" initiative.
The Details
- Western Art Dept, created by @jeremybooth and @nikokampouris, is launching its first collection of Western artwork at the beginning of May via @foundation.
- The collection will feature 1/1s from artists such as @roberthagan_art, @wicklow_, @ElMetallico1, @brandonmighty, @igorkjjk, @narcisojuse, @nathanabauman, and more.
- The project will invest in Western art by commissioning artists to produce limited-edition artwork. Over time, there will be opportunities for holders to burn their Boots and redeem new artwork from other artists at no additional cost.
