Censored NFT Overview

Project Information

Murat Pak released his open-ended collection of redacted words called “Censored” Monday, Feb. 7 at 9 a.m. EST. Pak’s project is a partnership with WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange, who has been in a London prison since 2019 and faces 17 espionage charges in the U.S.

Users typed their own messages (limited to 72 characters) into Censored and picked a mint price. There was a one-per-wallet limit.

Censored is an open edition which is scheduled to end at 9 a.m. ET on Feb. 9.

There is also a 1/1 Clock, which counts Assange’s days in prison. Proceeds from the Clock sale will go to support Assange’s legal defense. Proceeds from the open edition will go to “freedom of information, digital privacy, education, health, human and animal rights organizations.”
