Chapter 2 of Crowd will begin next week, according to a tweet from Creature World.

The Details

  • There are three paths to joining Chapter 2, and holders have the option to choose either one or a combination of some or all of them.
  • Each phase is separate from the others, and participation in Phase 1 isn't necessary to partake in Phase 2 or 3.
  • Phase 1 will require any two Crowds; Phase 2 will require four, seven, or eight specific Crowds; and Phase 3 will require 32 specific Crowds.

🔜 What’s Next?

Phase 1 will be on May 3rd, Phase 2 will be on May 8th, and Phase 3 will be on May 12th.

❗ Why It Matters

After a period of silence, the Creature World team has returned with a burn mechanic for the open edition that spawned 38,045 Crowds at the beginning of March. How this development will be received and how much participation and engagement Chapter 2 generates remain to be seen.

Chapter 2 of Creature World's "Crowd" Coming Soon

There will be a Chapter 2 for Creature World's generative open edition of Crowd, per an announcement on Twitter.

❗ Why It Matters

While this is mostly an announcement of an announcement, the team behind the project is definitively signaling that they do intend to do something with the 38,045 crowds that were minted on OpenSea.

Whether or not it's a burn mechanic similar to the one KILLABEARS has utilized with its own open edition is unclear, but the promise is that it's "something special" and that updates will be shared moving forward.

We couldn't help but notice the majority of collectors have more than one crowd. Let's just say those might come in handy. Perhaps the crowds want to meet each other...@creatureworld

Creature World is conducting a generative open edition mint for 24 hours on Thursday, according to an announcement from the project.

❗ Why It Matters

Creature World was one of the most popular collections back in the summer of 2021, but has been relatively quiet recently. Creature World is now leaning into the open edition craze, which will draw some attention and excitement back to the project.

This development follows in the wake of Creature World's first clothing drop a couple weeks ago, showing that Danny Cole is still working to expand the brand.

🔍 Need to Know

  • Mint will last for 24 hours, starting on Thursday, March 2nd at 12:00 P.M. ET.
  • Mint price is 0.029 ETH. Limit 100 per wallet.

Update: Creature World's first clothing drop was opened to the general public at noon ET on Thursday, Feb. 16.

Creature World's first clothing collection, "The Migration," goes live at 6:00 p.m. ET exclusively for Creature World holders, according to a tweet from the project.

❗Why It Matters

Creature World has lost a significant amount of attention in a rapidly evolving NFT space and while many brands have opted to stay digital with brand expansion (companion collections, etc), Creature World leaning into clothing production provides it an opportunity to stand out amongst a dense crowd of collections.

The Deets

The Migration collection boasts a handful of clothing options, including a pair of Creature sweaters, a puffer vest, creature jeans, and more. Find a gallery of images in the announcement tweet

Creature World will launch its fashion label, release new digital art, and host a show broadcast to a global audience in February, according to a tweet from the project

❗Why It Matters

One of the most popular projects during the summer of 2021, Creature World has been relatively quiet over the last six months with minimal updates provided to holders. The latest news reassures holders that the project's founder and artist, Danny Cole, is still working hard on expanding the brand.

Back It Up

Few details have been provided about the upcoming project initiatives, but the upcoming fashion label is of intrigue as the brand was previously lauded for its unique merchandise.

Danny Cole, the founder and artist behind the Creature World NFT project, will release three new physical artworks on Friday, Sep. 30, at 3 p.m. ET.

The new "editions of [Cole's] favorite artworks" will be printed on raw canvas. They'll be available on a first-come, first-served basis, according to Creature World's community manager, dijos.

In addition to the new physical artworks, the image provided by Cole suggests new Creature World merchandise is in the works. Behind one of the canvases sits a pin board, which has at least 10 new merchandise designs, including a vest, sweaters, a beanie, and possibly a bag.

The checklist attached to the pin board has 10 working set names, but the wording is difficult to read because of the image's clarity.

There is also a Funko Pop! Creature on the top shelf of Cole's organizer. Whether or not that item will eventually become commercially available is yet to be seen.

Creature World has seen its floor price rise over the last 24 hours by 12 percent to 0.28 ETH. The NFT art project's floor price nearly reached 4 ETH in late 2021 and has fallen considerably since.
