The Guinness Book Of World Records has officially recognized CryptoPunks. The NFT collection is the first of its kind to be included in a Guinness Book Of World Records edition.

CryptoPunk #5822, owned by Deepak.eth who is the CEO of Chain Protocol, is now in the Guinness Book Of World Records in the "CryptoMania" section. This edition also includes crypto adoption, Bitcoin, and NFTs.

CryptoPunk #5822 makes the record book by being the most expensive CryptoPunk sale of all time. The punk was sold for 8,000 ETH (~$23 million) back on February 12 of this year. The NFT is one of just 9 in the collection with the "Alien" attribute. The next highest sale was for 4,200 ETH (~$7.6 million) on March 11, 2021.
