Punks, Bored Apes Floor Prices Converging Again
The floor prices for Bored Ape Yacht Club and CryptoPunks are once more converging according to the Lucky Trader project rankings page.
In the last month, the CryptoPunks floor price has increased by two percent to 66.19 ETH, while the Bored Ape floor price has dropped more than 14 percent to 71 ETH at the time of writing.
The CryptoPunk collection most recently flipped Bored Apes in August, but the moment only lasted for about 45 minutes.
Since that brief flippening, Apes have maintained a comfortable position when compared to Punks, but over the last month, the collections have been trending in opposite directions.
Both collections have been in the headlines since that time as well.
Notable CryptoPunk collector Seedphrase has traded multiple Punks for more than $1 million in the last month, and earlier today he received an offer of more than $1.79 million on his seven-trait Punk.
While the Bored Ape headlines have been equally attention-grabbing, the tone is perhaps a bit more negative. Earlier this week it was announced that the staking launch for ApeCoin, the ecosystem's native token, would be officially delayed.
Plus, word leaked recently that the Yuga Labs founding team was under probe by the SEC for the potential sale of unregistered securities.
The debate about which collection reigns supreme has subsided since the Yuga Labs' acquisition of the CryptoPunks collection, but the top PFP collection by floor price is still a desirable title.
For now, Apes hold the edge and also lead in our Lucky Trader Power Rankings.
