Project Information
GOATz -- or Greatest of All Tokens -- is a goat-themed avatar project released in the summer of 2021. What makes GOATz different from many of the other avatar projects released around the same time is its Forge tool, which allows NFT holders to hand-select traits from two GOATz they own and combine those traits in a new GOAT. In its initial drop, GOATz dropped 10,000 NFTs on July 8, 2021 at a mint price of 0.05 ETH and sold out in 43 minutes. Because The Forge uses a burning mechanism, that total supply will deflate over time.
The Forge first opened for Season 1 on August 6, 2021 and remained open for four days. Moving forward, The Forge will open up once per month for a few days. During that window, holders are free to burn two GOATz they own to create a personalized GOAT, which will be airdropped following the conclusion of that season. Additionally, all forged GOATz are entitled to a home in the GOATz Sandbox estate (-18, 108)
There are also benefits to leaving a GOAT unforged. Each unforged GOAT will be able to claim one GOATz Access Utility Token. These tokens can be used to gain access to exclusive merch, premium giveaways, and a claimable GOAT Metaverse Avatar.
