Parallel Alpha NFT Overview

Project Information

A card-based strategy game in the vein of Magic: The Gathering, Parallel Alpha sold out its initial pack drop on July 31, 2021. Drop pricing was split into three tiers:

  • Premium Packs (4 cards): 0.2 ETH
  • Enhanced Packs (3 cards): 0.1ETH
  • Core Packs (1 card): 0.01 ETH

The game centers around a post-apocalyptic Earth, which has been depleted of its energy sources. An attempt to create a new energy source using fission augmented by antimatter led to a global disaster known as “The Event” or “The Priming”. The people of Earth then separated into four paths: one group remained on Earth, one traveled to Mars, one traveled to Europa (moon of Jupiter), and one to an asteroid belt deeper in space. The idea of civilizations existing in different parts of the solar system is where the game gets its “Parallel” name.

Many years later, the Parallels who left Earth wished to return to their home planet, now that it had become safer as time had passed. The stage is now set for a battle between the different civilizations over the right to claim the planet.

While the gameplay mechanics are not yet fully known, Parallel cards are split into five “streams”:

  • Earthen: Survivors who remained on Earth
  • Marcolian: Colonists of Mars
  • Augencore: Did not colonize any particular planet, but remained in space, making their ship their home.
  • Kathari: Colonists of Europa

As a potential necessity for trading and communication, Parallel Alpha launched inb0x in late 2021, an encrypted messaging service using Ethereum addresses.
