RR/BAYC is a collection of 10,000 NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain, created by @ryder_ripps.

Ryder created the project after re-minting Bored Ape number 3100 in an attempt to test the boundaries and meaning of digital images within a new paradigm of IP law, copyright, computer-generated images, and Non-Fungible Tokens.

The work was delisted from the platform Foundation after Ryder received a DMCA request from Larva Labs. Ryder successfully countered the DMCA and Bored Ape number 3100 was subsequently re-listed, sending a strong message that you can't copy an NFT.

RR/BAYC uses satire and appropriation to protest and educate people regarding The Bored Ape Yacht Club and the framework of NFTs.

NFT marketplace X2Y2 will comply with requests to remove the Ryder Ripps BAYC collection from its marketplace according to a tweet from the project

The marketplace has previously aimed to keep the collection on its site, despite the removal from leading marketplace OpenSea, but is removing it just a few days after a formal lawsuit was filed against Ryder Ripps.

In its announcement, the marketplace indicated "As a marketplace, it's in our best interest to keep the service running safely and smoothly for all our users."

Previously, X2Y2 has mirrored LooksRare's attempts at remaining decentralized and objective, keeping collections on the site that were not available on OpenSea. In recent weeks the marketplace added features that indicate when assets are not available on OpenSea, but are available for trading on X2Y2 or LooksRare.

X2Y2 Removing Ryder Ripps BAYC

RRBAYC (Ryder Ripps Bored Ape Yacht Club) a supposed BAYC parody project and the second-highest traded collection over the last 24 hours has been delisted on OpenSea.

The project's founder Ryder Ripps claims the reason for the delisting to be a DMCA from Yuga Labs calling the project a "violation of trademark."

The project remains available to trade on NFT marketplace X2Y2 and currently has a floor of 0.41 ETH on the platform, down more than 50 percent from the time of delisting on OpenSea according to the Lucky Trader Project Rankings.
