Sandaliya by Melissa Wiederrecht NFT Overview

Sandaliya is a collection of 205 generative art NFTs created by artist Melissa Wiederrecht on the Ethereum blockchain. The collection was created and released as part of the Art Blocks Artists' Playground Collection. Wiederrecht developed the idea and created the collection while visiting Sudan. The collection is inspired by the contrast of the dirt and broken system of Sudan with the vibrant colors seen throughout the people and culture. Melissa is leading an effort to build a school in an underdeveloped community in Sudan. To support her efforts, a total of 25% of the proceeds from Sandaliya sales were donated to assist in the creation of a new school.
