SPLOOT by De la Dondi NFT Overview
Project Information
Sploot is a collection of 333 mash potato can NFTs created by the De la Dandi Company on the Ethereum blockchain. Sploot is a play on the public protest attempt on October 15, 2022, where two activists threw a can of soup on a Vincent van Gogh painting. The van Gogh painting was covered in glass to protect it from any type of possible destructive acts. Sploot allows holders to "sploot" any NFT to create a version of that NFT with mashed potatoes splattered on top of it. By utilizing the Sploot contract or Sploot web interface, holders can input the NFT contract address and NFT token ID of the NFT they want to cover in mashed potatoes. The Sploot contract extracts the image data of the selected NFT direct from that collection's contract and covers that NFT with digital mashed potatoes. An NFT from any collection can only be Splooted one time.
