Strands of Solitude by William Mapan NFT Overview

Strands of Solitude is a collection of 400 generative art NFTs created by artist William Mapan on the Ethereum blockchain. The collection will release on Tonic, a fine art gallery focused on bridging the digital and physical worlds. Mapan created Strands of Solitude to act as a commentary on the connection and isolation found in the digital age. Social media and more importantly our reliance on technology is a double-edged sword that has both connected and disconnected people from one another. Through the use of saturation and negative space, Mapan is able to emphasize that sense of disconnection, but still, remind viewers they are part of a larger whole.
