The Possessed sent out a cryptic video on Friday afternoon via Twitter. The message was shown as an encrypted letter sent to the Doctor and signed "Sine Nomine," which means "without a name" in Latin.
"The rumours are true. I have seen the evidence...The new unit is coming," reads the letter. It is unclear whether the new expected NFT will be in the form of an airdrop or new mint at this time.
At the time of this writing, The Possessed collection has a floor price of 0.14 ETH.
The Possessed recently revealed its highly-anticipated collection, including a sneak peek at its 1/1 The Architect NFT.
Leading up to the reveal, The Possessed traded more than 100 ETH in 213 sales and has a floor price of 0.52 ETH. Since launch, the project has traded more than 4,200 ETH in total volume.
Once the reveal is complete, The Possessed rarity rankings and traits can be seen on Lucky Trader's Rarity and Traits pages.
Each NFT is animated and switches between two states, Blessed and Possessed.
NFTs will start in the Blesssed form as default, but can be changed to Possessed using the transmutator. The team has not yet announced how this process will officially work. Stay tuned for more information.
The Possessed was created by tmw, who formerly created Hubble, and artist Joe (@whatthefur), who formerly founded Point Studio. It minted out for 0.35 ETH on Jun. 30.
The Possessed is a recently released collection that saw its public sale come to a close in less than seven minutes yesterday and currently sits at a floor of 0.58 ETH according to the Lucky Trader Project Rankings.
While the details are currently unknown, the team teased what it is calling the "Transmutator" in a recent tweet.
It should be noted that the collection is currently unrevealed and the Discord for the project is currently unable to be joined even by holders.
Since the tweet, the floor price of the project has not seen a major spike in volume and the floor price has remained the same.
The Possessed and Art Blocks are warning users to avoid minting and interacting with scam mints promoted by verified Twitter accounts.
It's a common scam where bad actors buy verified Twitter accounts that have been compromised, then tweet out phishing links to a fake mint or claim. (In the Art Blocks scam, a fake Twitter profile called @ChromieSquiggle is advertising a claim for a Kaleidoscope NFT for each Chromie Squiggle a user owns.)
Because the account is verified, some users rush to connect their wallet to the fake site, where they sign a message and approve a call function which allows the scammer to gain access to their tokens, draining wallets that contain NFTs and more.

Over the last six hours, The Possessed in leading the NFT Market in both total volume traded and sales with 859 sales for more than 600 ETH.
Second, third, and fourth place are occupied by Yuga Labs with Otherdeed for Otherside (269 ETH on 33 sales), Bored Ape Yacht Club (218 ETH on 2 sales), and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (208 ETH on 11 sales).
Fifth place is occupied by WZRDs, the newest popular free mint, with 178 ETH on 675 sales.
The Possessed has yet to mint out with the public sale going live at 7 p.m. ET. Only raffle winners are able to participate, and based on the project's current floor price of 0.63 ETH, it should mint out fast.
The Possessed is a collection of 10,000 test subject NFTs that can switch back and forth between being "blessed" or "possessed." The switch occurs on-chain.
The project has done more than 1,200 ETH in total volume since launch.
