Grossman Leaving Time for MoonPay
Keith Grossman, the president of Time who oversaw the legacy media's foray into web3, is leaving Dec. 31 to take a similar position at MoonPay, he announced on Twitter Monday.
"Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work for and learn from some of the most dynamic and fearless leaders; and now I am excited to put their guidance, knowledge and wisdom into practice at an organization leading the continued mainstreaming of web3," Grossman tweeted.
Grossman was at Time for the past three-and-a-half years and led the way for Time's NFT collection TIMEPieces, which featured artists such as Diana Sinclair, Justin Aversano, and Cath Simard. He'll be responsible for new business at MoonPay.
During his tenure, he also helped NFT projects Robotos, the littles, and Toy Boogers connect with TIME Studios for the production of their animated TV shows.
TIMEPieces will be led by the company's chief brand officer, Maya Draisin, according to CNBC.
"In the past year we have operationalized web3 (within) our (organization) to ensure it could support and sustain transitions such as this and in the past few weeks we have established a community council to help guide our future," Grossman said.
Grossman said TIMEPieces will be "working with" MoonPay on "future collections."
