DeFi Kingdoms | Crystalvale Goes Live
After a 2-hour delay, DeFi Kingdoms: Crystalvale, the highly-anticipated fork of the popular P2E game DeFi Kingdoms went live at 2 p.m. ET today. Initially scheduled for a noon launch, founder Frisky Fox announced the delay in the DFK Discord to "ensure that everything goes as smoothly as possible." Unfortunately, things still did not go quite as smoothly as the team (and users) might have hoped. Within minutes of Crystalvale going live on its brand new RPC, transactions started to lag and users were unable to connect to DFK Chain — the brand new subnet of Avalanche C-Chain built specifically for this purpose, with gas fees paid in $JEWEL, the native token to Defi Kingdoms. The issues were quickly resolved and at approximately 2:30 p.m. ET Frisky Fox announced the RPC was back online, although with over 3,000 queued transactions users could expect up to 20-30 minutes for the transactions to all process.

Once players have bridged their tokens over to the new subnet, they will be able to create seeds (LP Tokens) and plant (deposit) them into the Ice Gardens. The DFK team announced that $CRYSTAL emissions will be limited to the xJEWEL-JEWEL liquidity pool, which is still set to go live at 8 p.m. ET. The team also published two separate Medium articles to help both new users, as well as current players, get started with Crystalvale.
