Yuga Labs announced on Friday the closing of a deal to acquire Cryptopunks and Meebits from Larva Labs.
The acquisition saw a rise in Meebits volume over the weekend, with the floor price rising up to 6.5 ETH before coming back down under 5 ETH again.
The collaboration of two of the biggest NFT brands created buzz on Twitter over the weekend, with many people speculating what other big brands may be trying to make similar moves to try and compete with Yuga Labs.

Doodles made headlines as "winners" of the SXSW event in Austin, TX.
The Doodles teamed up with Shopify to create the first token gated NFT merchandise sale, where Doodles collectors were able to buy merchandise that was then delivered in a bag by a Doodle vehicle at checkout.
Floor price and volume on the Doodles collection rose over the weekend after videos and pictures from the event.
Gutter Cat Gang
The Gutter Cat Gang sold out 16,000 Gutter Juice NFTs in a Dutch Auction ending at 0.1 ETH on Mar. 8.
Gutter Cat species holders were each airdropped one juice NFT as well, making the total collection supply of 28,000. The juices were split evenly across species, with the Cat juice NFTs sitting at about 3x the price of the other species since the drop.
