With the addition of reMints, StarStock is tapping into the exciting anticipatory phenomenon that NFTs provide prior to reveal, allowing participants a second chance at "minting" a rare item from a particular NFT collection.
reMints will operate in a similar fashion to typical sports card breaks. Participants select a numbered slot, matching the amount of assets in the lot. At the beginning of the event, the list of numbers is randomized to determine the order in which assets are revealed. Assets are then revealed at random, and assigned to the owners based on the previously created list.
To participate, users will first need to create an account on the StarStock site. After creating an account, navigate to the StarStock's breaks page to find reMints alongside the other traditional sports card breaks.
The first reMint is slated to take place this Thursday, January 6 at 9:00 p.m. ET. The lot will hold ten Knights of Degen NFTs with various rarities and traits.
Users can acquire a spot in the reMint for 0.4 ETH, payable in either ETH or USD. To pay in USD, users must first add funds to their StarStock account via a debit or credit card. Instructions for paying via ETH can be found on the Knights of Degen breaks page.
At present time, only one of ten available spots has been claimed for the Knights of Degen reMint. The current floor at the time of writing is 0.215 ETH for a Knights of Degen NFT, with a 7-day average trading price of 0.245 ETH.
In a tweet, StarStock co-founder Scott Greenberg said of the move, "StarStock is building an online NFT shop. Similar vibe to a card shop - this is a place not only to buy NFTs, but to hang out with others that share your passion for them."
