AkuDreams to Issue Refunds From Project Treasury, Airdrop Akutars Sunday
Staff Writer

AkuDreams announced estimated airdrop and refund times in a tweet Saturday. The Akutars are set to be sent to minters Sunday, pending an audit, the project said. Refunds (an estimated 4,668.5 ETH) will be issued Monday or Tuesday from the Aku Chapters treasury. Aku Chapters was a series of short animated work predating the Akutars. AkuDreams reportedly earned more than $60 million from the Aku Chapter series and Akutar Mint Passes, according to a story in Cointelegraph.

AkuDreams is issuing the refunds after more than $34 million was locked in the Akutars contract due to an exploit.

The final resting price to mint was 2.1 ETH, and users who had minted at a higher price were to be refunded the difference prior to the exploit.
