Deadfellaz Going Big on Gaming

Deadfellaz is diving head-first into the gaming industry with the development of RIP TCG, a digital trading card game set to redefine the genre.

The Deets

  • RIP TCG: A fast, violent, and cinematic digital trading card game.
  • Gameplay Mechanics: Offers immersive 3D character-focused combat and deep card customization.
  • Blockchain Integration: Utilizes on-chain XP, visual customization, and unique blockchain features.
  • Alpha and Beta: Alpha set to be live in 2024, and Beta in 2025.

The Bulk

Initially rooted in art and culture-focused projects, Deadfellaz is leaping into the gaming sphere with its latest offering: RIP TCG. This new digital trading card game aims to shake up the TCG genre by bringing in adrenaline-pumping 3D combat, deep card customization, and a darkly playful universe.

And unlike other web3 games, the focus isn't solely on play-to-earn mechanics; instead, its zeroing in on what makes games enjoyable in the first place. This approach reflects a year's worth of research and gameplay development by Psych, and his team. The game will also feature a series of blockchain-powered utilities like on-chain XP and visual customization, adding unique elements to each card.

The game is being developed in collaboration with an undisclosed AAA game studio with experience in major titles like Battlefield, Star Wars, Madden, Fable, Forza, Minecraft, and Hearthstone.

📊 By the Numbers

Alpha scheduled for a 2024 release, with the Beta following in 2025. A development team of 16 top-tier developers is set to kick off the next stage of RIP TCG this October in Vancouver.
