Forgotten Runes Wizard's Cult NFT Overview

Forgotten Runes Wizard's Cult is collection of 10,000 wizard NFTs that are fully on-chain, meaning each Wizard will live forever on the Ethereum blockchain.  The World of Forgotten Runes is community-driven where the "cult" contributes to the input and production of art, animation, stories, memes, and lore to social media and to the one-of-a-kind Book of Lore.  The Book of Lore stores and displays a wizard character's description and story, along with any other fan art that has been created. The project was released on June 30, 2021 and sold out in nearly 28 minutes. 

The Forgotten Runes Project was spearheaded by Elf and Dotta, who appear in AmA on Twitter Space every Wednesday.  Elf is a Los Angeles, California-based Artist and has worked in the entertainment industry for over a decade with the studios such as Disney and Nickelodeon.  Dotta deployed one of the earliest ERC721 contracts, Dotlicence, in April 2018. 

In October some Wizard holders were airdropped a Sacred Flame NFT from the Forgotten Rune Wizard's Cult Infinity Veil. On Hallow's Eve, there is slated to be a "Great Burning" at the Secret Tower. The significance and tie to the Forgotten Rune Wizard's lore is unknown at present time. 

In early December 2021, the FRWC team announced they are building a "create-to-earn" economy and working with Biosonic to help build it. 

In late December 2021, FRWC dropped Forgotten Runes Ponies to holders who had received merchandise boxes or had a wizard or soul NFT with lore in their wallet on December 21.
