LinksDAO Wins Bid to Purchase Golf Course

After submitting a bid to purchase Spey Bay Golf Course in Scotland late last month, LinksDAO let its members know today that its bid had been accepted and the project will move forward with its purchase, as team member Cooper noted in a Discord message earlier today, "WE WON THE BID. We're buying a golf course."

- While the purchase price is not yet known, the golf course's listing noted there had been "offers over £750,000" (about $908,000 USD).
- Before LinksDAO placed an offer, the project had polled its holders on the plan, with more than 88% of voters expressing their support of the bid to purchase Spey Bay.
- LinksDAO also has plans to purchase a US golf course, and the team said last month that a potential purchase of Spey Bay would not affect their ability to move forward in the US.
