Okay Bears Teases Possible Staking Event in July

Okay Bears is preparing for hibernation on July 18, a yet-to-be-revealed event that could be related to NFT staking, similar to the Moonbirds nesting feature.

"Crypto winter is getting colder by the day," Okay Bears tweeted. "There's never been a better time to hibernate. Get ready to snooze on Monday, July 18."

The Twitter post is accompanied by an image that reads: "You snooze, you win."

There is currently no more information available regarding the Solana-based NFT project's plans for hiberation, but more information is expected in the coming days or weeks.

Okay Bears currently has a floor price on OpenSea of 110 SOL and has done nearly 2 million SOL in total volume traded since joining the NFT marketplace at the end of April 2022.

The team's announcement comes during a major downturn in the cryptocurrency markets. Bitcoin (BTC) is down nearly 8 percent in the last seven days and more than 4 percent in the last 24 hours. Ethereum (ETH) is down more than 8 percent in the last seven days and the last 24 hours. And Solana (SOL) is down more than 15 percent in the last seven days and nearly 10 percent in the last 24 hours.
